Digital Archiving and Preservation Policy

The International Journal For Research In Agricultural And Food Science (IJRAFS), published by Green Publications Services Private Limited, is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, integrity, and permanent accessibility of all published scholarly content.

To fulfill this commitment, the journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), a distributed digital preservation system developed by the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for journals operating on the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. Through PKP PN, all published articles and associated metadata are securely archived to guarantee continuous and reliable access.

The PKP Preservation Network stores journal content across multiple independent and geographically distributed preservation nodes. This distributed archiving model safeguards the scholarly record against data loss, cyber threats, technical failures, server disruptions, or potential journal discontinuation. It ensures durability, stability, and uninterrupted long-term access to agricultural and food science research.

Key Features of the Archiving System:

  • Long-term digital preservation of all published articles
  • Secure distributed storage across multiple preservation nodes
  • Protection against data loss, system failures, and technological changes
  • Continued accessibility of content even if the journal website becomes unavailable

This preservation policy reflects IJRAFS’s commitment to internationally recognized best practices in scholarly publishing and research sustainability.
