Abstract

This paper employed unsupervised neural network and fuzzy inference system to identify the lithology o
f a well log data obtained from the Niger-Delta region of Nigeria. Sixteen fuzzy rules was proposed based
on the output of the SOM clustering. The results obtained were analyzed.
