Each being adapts and evolves in a site (ecosystem) where it finds all the living conditions combined. Giving the role that the environment plays for living beings, man is called to jealously protect it.
In the town of Kindu, several ecosystems promote life and multiplication of living beings. Among them, we cite : forests, watercourses and soil.
Thus the study of the ecology of this city is of capital importance in the sence that it analyzes its environment and the interactions existing between its biodiversity and biotope.
The results of this reseaech reveal that ravines, garbage, non-biodegradables waste, flooding, water pollution and deforestation in new developments are the biggest problems with ecological impact identified in Kindu. The consequence of this situation are dramatic, especially during periods of flooding of the Congo River and its tributaries. Those who build in the major beds of these waterways experience enormous losses in material goods, buildings and even human life.
